ERASMUS+ COOPERATION PROJECT

Edible Cities

Transforming vacant urban spaces into green jobs for NEET youth

Edible Cities is a European cooperation project exploring how vacant urban spaces and edible city initiatives can connect with learning, youth participation and green employment opportunities. The project focuses particularly on young people who are not in employment, education or training (NEET).

THE IDEA

What are edible cities?

Edible city initiatives bring food growing, preparation and sharing into urban life. They can include community gardens, productive rooftops, community kitchens and other local food initiatives that connect people with the food they eat and the places where they live.
